Michelle and Zack were absolutely wonderful during such a hard time after losing my father. They showed compassion and helped every step of the way. They were responsive, professional, and truly cared about making everything as smooth and comforting as possible. The staff at Valley combine professionalism, honesty, compassion, and fair pricing to provide the best possible experience. They see you at the lowest point of your life, and somehow put you at peace and provide subtle yet sincere support. From the first day we walked into Valley Funeral home, we were treated like family. Michelle was very compassionate and kind, and explained everything to us. She also took the time to answer all of our questions. Zach was such a kind and polite young man, he had all the patience in the world with me. I accidentally sent way too many pictures, and he was still helpful and kind. The picture program and the obituary were perfect! Thank you Zach! Mr. Simmons spoke at my sister's memorial service and did a wonderful job, we appreciate that every much! We definitely recommend Valley Funeral home for your loved ones funeral arrangements. Buck, Michelle and Zach did a wonderful job helping me with my grandmother’s arrangements. I had never been through this process and they made me feel very comfortable and took a lot of time with me. Honest, Straight Forward. Mr. Simmons & Miss Michelle are just good people. These folks understood the needs of my mother final wishes. I flew in from Texas without a clue of what I was getting into with the various services offered at the other places around town. Valley Funeral Home asked me what was NEEDED and they got to work for me and my brother. No sales pitches, no "what about". It was so nice to deal with honest people at the time when I needed to focus on what mattered. Thank You Valley. I will never forget.

Valley Funeral Home in Roanoke was great to work with. I had to take care of arrangements for my sisters celebration of life. Buck, Zack and Michelle did a fantastic job from start to finish. They kept me informed of what was happening and what needed to be done. Then the day of the celebration, they were very professional for the entire day. Buck was great to talk to and deal with. Zack did a great job with the obituary and the memorial program. Michelle was there to help me whenever and whatever I needed with a special smile. If you need funeral services in Salem or Roanoke, Valley Funeral Home is defiantly a place to check out.
